Binding Instructions
Instructions for Binding
Don't be scared. This is very easy. Drop your materials off in your school workroom with these instructions. (Instructions are also included on the first page of your download)
TIP: You may want to have your workroom create a sample book first just to make sure the book is assembled properly.
For years I have made the reproducible theory books this way for my students. It works wonderfully.
Please follow these instructions to bind the books together
Your download will come with three (3) things that must be separated after you have printed the book download:
2 pages of instructions and products
52 pages of the "An Introduction to _______-_________Sight Singing" book (including the cover page and the back cover)
54 pages of the teacher guide (including the teacher guide cover page and the back cover)
WARNING: Do not try to change the layout of the book or get the pages out of order. Changing the layout or order may result in an incomplete and/or disorganized book.
Remove the instruction page. Set it aside and follow the printed instructions.
Separate the teacher guide from the book. Bind it separately (use instructions 3-5 to bind the teacher guide as well, but you will need just one copy per director)
Included is a cover page for the book. I recommend using a thicker paper, such as cardstock, for the cover and back cover pages, but it is not necessary. It does protect the books a little more.
All pages, beginning with page one, are to be copied 1 to 2 sided. The pdf should automatically print one sided and it must be converted to two sided when making copies. This insures that the lessons for each part are positioned opposite of each other.
Using either binding combs or spirals, bind the pages together. You could also just hole punch the books and put them in binders.
