Is it cost effective?
When this book is purchased for $60 your school has the rights to make as many copies as needed for that school.
If a book is lost, damaged, ripped, or you get a new student, etc…it is as simple as sending it to the school workroom to make another copy.
This is an extremely cost effective way for you to spend your money.
Do I have to use a PayPal® account to make a purchase?
Not necessarily although PayPal® is the easiest and fastest. PayPal® creates a secure transaction. If you don't have a PayPal® account you can create one in minutes. For more information, see the PayPal® website.
Is there another way to pay?
Yes! You can contact me through my contact page on the left and I can give you information on how to send your school or district check, money order, or cashier's check. Upon receipt and clearance of payment I will be happy to send you your files.
Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Unfortunately, we do not. We can work with you and your school about a school or district check. The fastest, easiest way would be PayPal® and then receive reimbursement from your school or district.
If I use my PayPal® Account, how does my school reimburse me?
Check with your school or district about their refund policies. You will receive a receipt from PayPay® and this can be used to receive reimbursement from your school or district.
But what if my school doesn't reimburse me?
I would check that before ordering. Perhaps they can send a check instead. If they don't reimburse you, as an educator you probably qualify for an Educator Expense Deduction for your taxes. (This is not official tax advice, but only a potential option.)
Do you collect sales tax on purchases?
Texas customers pay 8.25% sales tax on all purchases. We do not collect sales tax for other states or countries.
My school purchases are tax-exempt. What do I need to do?
Texas Residents:
All purchases from within the state of Texas will pay sales tax at the time of the purchase. If you are a school purchasing a piece of music you are tax exempt, however I still need documentation of that.
From the time of purchase you have 30 days in which to email me information about your school and district. A copy of your district's tax exempt form would be best.
When I receive your information and/or tax exempt form I will credit your PayPal® account the sales tax. This way you get your music when you order and I get documentation for the state of Texas.
For example:
You purchase a sight singing book for $60.00.
Your PayPal® account is charged $64.95.
Within 30 days of purchase, you send me your school information or tax exempt form. (Forms sent via email is the recommended method)
Upon receipt of the tax exempt form, I will credit your PayPal® account $4.95.
If I do not receive your school’s tax exempt form within 30 days, then the $4.95 difference will not be credited to your PayPal® account. That money will be sent to the state of Texas.
But what if I already sent you a tax exempt form from a previous purchase?
If you have purchased from timwmusic.com before and you sent in a tax exempt form then I already have it on file. After your purchase, simply email me that your tax exempt form is on file and I will credit your account upon verification.
